Το Κέντρο Αριστείας CYENS (πρώην RISE) είναι το πρώτο ερευνητικό κέντρο στην Κύπρο με εξειδίκευση στα διαδραστικά μέσα, έξυπνα συστήματα και αναδυόμενες τεχνολογίες, με σκοπό να γίνει κέντρο αριστείας κι ενδυνάμωσης της γνώσης και της μεταφοράς τεχνολογίας στην περιοχή.

Το CYENS αποτελεί κοινοπραξία μεταξύ των τριών δημόσιων πανεπιστημίων της Κύπρου (Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου, Τεχνολογικό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου και Ανοικτό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου), του Δήμου Λευκωσίας, και δύο καταξιωμένων διεθνών εταίρων, το Max Planck Institut Informatik (MPI) της Γερμανίας και το University College London (UCL) του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου.

Το CYENS έχει ανακοινώσει το Καλοκαιρινό Πρόγραμμα Πρακτικής Άσκησης 2023 για προπτυχιακούς και μεταπτυχιακούς φοιτητές και άτομα που ένταχθηκαν πρόσφατα σε εργασιακό χώρο (1-2 χρόνια μετά την αποφοίτηση).  Οι ασκούμενοι θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να πραγματοποιήσουν έρευνα ως μέρος μιας από τις Πολυεπιστημονικές Ερευνητικές Ομάδες του Κέντρου (MRGs και FRG).

CYENS Center of Excellence is pleased to announce its Summer 2023 Internship Program for undergraduate and graduate-level students and early career individuals (1 to 2 years after graduation). Designed to act as an integrator of academic research and industrial innovation, CYENS will use its Internship Program to inspire talented young researchers by exposing them to cutting-edge methods and Research in Interactive media, Smart systems and Emerging technologies. 
 
Interns will have the opportunity to carry out research as part of one of the Center’s Multidisciplinary Research Groups (MRGs and FRG). They will be introduced to the use of the latest methods and techniques in a chosen field or fields and, in the center of Nicosia and will become part of CYENS’s lively ecosystem of academics, researchers, creative and onward-looking people, innovators, entrepreneurs and practitioners.
 
DETAILS OF THE PROGRAM
 A number of paid Internship slots are offered for full-time engagement. Applicants must be available for 6 to 12 weeks between June 1 and September 30, 2023. Interns will be expected to give an open presentation of their work and findings before the end of their time with CYENS.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
 Applicants must be able to work in CYENS’s premises in Nicosia and must be either:

• Undergraduate students (BA, BSc)
• Post-Graduate students (MA, MSc and PhD)
• Early career individuals (who have graduated from university within the last 2 years)
• For non-EU applicants an entry visa and/or work permit may be required
