MSc in International Accounting, Auditing and Taxation-IHU-Call for Applications 2024
The School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Economics of the University Center of International Programmes of Studies of the International Hellenic University invites interested parties to apply for the Postgraduate Programme of Studies "MSc in International Accounting, Auditing and Taxation" for the academic year 2024-2025. Teaching takes place at IHU premises through flexible learning methods exclusively in English.
The Academic Supervisor of the Postgraduate Programme of Studies is Professor Stergios Leventis, Director of the Programme. The academics teaching on the programme come from universities both abroad and in Greece.
The postgraduate studies for this MSc programme lead to the acquisition of a Master’s Degree. The programme curriculum requires the attendance of taught courses for two academic semesters for full-time students and the completion of a master’s dissertation for one academic semester. There is also the possibility, upon request, of attending the programme on a part–time basis. In this case, the duration of the MSc will be double.
The International Hellenic University accepts, after a careful selection process, graduates from Greek universities or equivalent institutions from abroad, as well as from Technological Educational Institutions in related subject areas, according to Law 4957/2022 and 4610/2019, as applicable.
The MSc in International Accounting, Auditing and Taxation of the International Hellenic University has been designed with consideration to the following:
The environment of accounting, auditing and taxation, with its endless career opportunities and the constant need for discerning, capable and business-flexible executives, is one of the most attractive choices for postgraduate studies for students with an inclination for quantitative and accounting methods. In addition, knowledge of accounting, auditing and taxation is combined with those of the science of finance so that they provide the necessary knowledge for the understanding of the workings of the international
financial environment in the function of businesses. Businesses require executives with specialized knowledge in issues of international accounting, auditing and taxation, with developed inter-personal skills and an in-depth knowledge and analytical ability so that they may succeed in a constantly changing and complex business environment.
The selection of postgraduate students will be undertaken in accordance with the provisions of current legislation based on the relevance of the subject of the candidate’s first degree with respect to the subject area of the postgraduate programme, the grades received in first degree qualifications, the grades received on the thesis and undergraduate courses related to the MSc in International Accounting, Auditing and Taxation, the candidate’s certified proficiency in the English language and the candidate’s curriculum vitae.

Application
documentation must include the following:
- Α completed application form (a passport size photograph in digital form must also be attached in the application)
- A detailed curriculum vitae
- Copy of the first cycle degree. If the degree is from a non-Greek institution, the institution must be included in the National Registry of Foreign Recognized Higher Education Institutes of D.O.A.T.A.P – Hellenic National Academic Recognition and Information Center (Hellenic NARIC) in accordance with paragraph 4 of article 304 of Law 4957 /2022*.
- Copy of the transcript of grades
- Certification of English Language proficiency (level C1) is demonstrated by submitting one of the following titles proving very good level: IELTS (6.5 or above), TOEFL (95 or above),
- TOEIC (745 or above). In case of absence of these, other certificates are also acceptable which prove, however, very good knowledge of English, according to those standards designated by the Greek Authority ASEP. Candidates who do not possess the relevant certification may submit an application on the understanding that, in order to be allowed to commence Postgraduate Studies, they must submit such a certificate by September 30th, 2024.
