Modules Information

SES programme, through its curriculum and building upon the foundations of the BEng Mechanical Engineering, is meant to provide insights about the recent advances in sustainable energy systems, allowing its graduates to work as specialists in the respective market. Therefore, the SES curriculum reflects that the solid foundation of engineering –in 1st year courses- as well as the specialisation in the design and operation of sustainable energy systems –during 2nd year-. This will be described in the following section. 

SES Programme consists of five (5) core modules, three (3) compulsory elective modules – two (2) specialisation courses –one (1) energy dissertation, resulting in total 120 ECTS.

SES offers students the opportunity to customize their degree in areas that suit their interests and career goals working one-on-one with a faculty advisor to tailor their degree to their energy interests choosing the appropriate MSc Energy Dissertation topic and also by selecting one of the following directions:

a) Sustainable Energy Systems Design and

b) Renewable Energy Systems
