The MSc program aims to offer postgraduate education and training to graduate students and executives that wish to work or are currently employed in the sectors of Shipping, Finance and Management, and aim to advance to the highest levels of the international market via a highly acclaimed English-speaking graduate training program.

The program’s international profile is strengthened through a modern, well-structured and continuously revised program, laboratory classes, case studies, workshops, teaching, visits to companies, seminars and conferences.

It is addressed to graduates with officially recognized undergraduate degrees in areas such as Economics, Business, Finance, Management, Law, Science and Engineering.

The postgraduate program leads to the award of a Master’s of Science (MSc) degree and offers:

• A 12-month full-time program, with lectures taking place mainly in the morning or afternoon.
• A 24-month part-time program, designed to meet the needs of business executives, with lectures conducted in the evenings.

The MSc program offers:

• Postgraduate study in an International Maritime Centre, in Greece – which has the highest ownership (in tonnage) in the World and hundreds of companies located here
• The opportunity to study at AUEB, a top School for Economics and Business in Greece and Internationally recognized for its quality of education, research and training
• An MSc program qualification officially recognized by the Greek State
• An academic program taught by world class professors - all with PhDs, constantly reviewed to fit the needs of the industry
• A program relevant to the needs and developments of the market, achieved through the close collaboration with its Business Advisory Council (BAC), comprising top professionals from the shipping, finance and management sectors.
• Placements of students with companies at the end of the taught part of the program
• A network of opportunities, through visits to companies and organizations
• Executive guest speakers from the industry, some of them running specialized Workshops
• Use of state-of-the-art laboratory providing access to major databases, newspapers, periodicals and academic journals related to shipping, finance and management

The program operates in accordance with the MSc Program Regulation [Governmental Gazette (ΦΕΚ) B’/5785/04-10-2023, B’/2754/15-05-2024 and B’/6577/02-12-2024, as amended and currently in force] and Law 4957/2022.

The program has a rolling admissions procedure, conducted in three rounds, with the following deadlines:

• 1st round, Friday, 20th of February 2026
• 2nd round, Friday, 3rd of April 2026
• 3rd round, Friday 12th of June 2026 

Places available are limited and applications are evaluated with priority order.

Documents that must be submitted with the application:
1. Copies of all University Degrees / Diplomas
2. CV in English
3. Certified copy of the English language certification verifying (at least) a very good command of the language: level C1, as recognized by ASEP and as determined amongst others by a TOEIC, IELTS, TOEFL score or Advanced (CAE)
4. One recent passport size photograph
5. Personal statement of approximately 500 words, in English
6. Two (2) confidential recommendation letters either in sealed envelopes or uploaded directly via the online application platform from the referee (for the FT program only academic references, for the PT program one reference can be professional)
7. Proof of employment record, if any – required for part time applicants
