Welcome to the Erasmus Mundus Master in Biomedical Engineering (EMMBIOME), a two-year program that equips you with academic and research skills tailored to the dynamic world of biomedical engineering.
The program offers a deep dive into state-of-the-art topics, fostering expertise that prepares you for impactful careers in both academia and industry. EMMBIOME is more than just a degree; it’s an experience. The programme offers a blend of theoretical learning and hands-on research, guiding students through the latest advancements in the field.
Our international program is powered by a collaboration of three universities—University of Kragujevac (Serbia), University of Patras (Greece), and Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Romania). This cross-border partnership offers unparalleled opportunities to engage with diverse perspectives, ideas, and innovations. Together, we are creating a learning environment that is helping students to unlock their full potential.
Only the complete applications will be taken into consideration.
The selection procedure can be divided into three steps:
Document check will be performed immediately after the closure of the Call for Applications. At this stage, the fulfilment of the minimum requirements (academic and language) will be verified.
Candidates whose applications fail to meet any of the above requirements will be considered ineligible and excluded.
Each eligible application will be evaluated on a 100-point scale by the Admission Committee.
For every nationality, a ranking list will be created. Only top ranking students within each nationality will be invited for the interview, considering they reach minimum threshold that is defined each year depending on all applicants.
Interviews will be conducted via video conferencing by the Admission Committee. Candidates will be assessed based on the:
– ability to understand questions and provide adequate and concise answers;
– ability to demonstrate the adequacy and consistency between the objectives of the Programme and the applicants’ background and/or professional project;
– motivation and professional project.
After the interview phase is completed, the final ranking list will be created and students will be informed of their application status.
Appeals will only be considered if the applicant believes there has been a failure in the admissions procedure or that they have been discriminated against unlawfully. All appeals should be made in writing within 10 days after the decision has been communicated.
