The University of Thessaly and the Faculty of Medicine invites interested parties to apply to attend the Master’s Graduate Program “Vascular Ultrasound in Diagnosis and Management” for theacademic year 2026-2027.

If you’re a clinician or a medical scientist who wants training in the theory and practice of vascular ultrasound, this course is for you.
Through online teaching sessions, webinars and in-person practice, you’ll gain a solid grounding in the physics and scientific theories of vascular ultrasound.
On the course, you’ll have the opportunity to develop the practical skills to perform a diagnostic ultrasound.
This expertise will support your career in healthcare system overall or urge you go into further research and PhD studies.
OBJECTIVE
The Postgraduate Program “Vascular Ultrasound in Diagnosis and Management” aims to cultivate and promote through academic and applied teaching and research the high-level training of researchers and health professionals in the preventive control, diagnosis and functional investigation of vascular diseases and postoperative followup. It also helps to enhance skills in minimally invasive ultrasound-guided vascular treatment. Finally, it provides its Graduates with the necessary skills that will ensure their excellent training for their academic scientific and research careers internationally.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon completion of the master’s degree program, students will have specialized knowledge and skills in the use of ultrasound for the prevention and diagnosis of vascular (arterial and venous) diseases, which will be useful in their professional careers. They will also have the opportunity to participate in innovative collaborative research activities, which will produce new knowledge, useful for various clinical applications in the field of vascular diseases. Finally, they will have the skills to meet the requirements of undertaking a doctoral dissertation and scientific publications.

The tuition fee for the MSc is 5,000€. Postgraduate studies commence in the fall semester. The duration of studies is three semesters. The number of postgraduate students annually admitted to the program is set at a maximum of thirty (30).
Applications for admissions may be submitted until positions are filled, or no later than April 30th, 2026.
