Call for expression of interest for post-doctoral fellow position at the Hellenic Pasteur Institute.
The laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology – Stem cells is seeking for a highly motivated and creative young scientist to fill a post-doctoral research position within the project “Development of a multi-parametric morpho-functional platform to uncover disease mechanisms and druggable targets in patient-derived cells: study of neuron-glia dynamics in alpha synuclein-mediated pathologies” funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (H.F.R.I.) within the framework of the “1st Call for H.F.R.I. research projects to support Faculty members and the procurement of high-value research equipment” with Dr Rebecca Matsas as PI.
Candidates must hold a PhD in Biological Sciences and have excellent command of the Greek and English language. A strong background in cellular and molecular (neuro)biology, advanced microscopy and image analysis is required. Expertise in induced pluripotent stem cell–based disease modeling and characterization is desirable.
The successful candidate is expected to work independently, yet be fully interactive within a research team that integrates cell and animal disease modeling, bioimaging, molecular & systems biology, and functional analyses. Prospective candidates will be offered experience, training, and collaboration opportunities.
The position will be compensated according to the national laws and will be guaranteed for up to 36 months.
